Teen events at the Pleasant Hill Library for September

We have something for every teen planned for September at the library.   Starting on Tuesday the 14th from 3 to 4:30 we will be rockin' out with Rock Band on Wii.  Refreshments provided, must be between 12 and 18 to participate.

Then on Monday the 27th the Guthrie Theater will be teaching an intro to Shakespeare class.  All teens 12 to 18 are welcome to attend but must preregister with the library.  Registration begins at 10 am on Monday the 13th.  You do not need a library to register or participate in the class.  It's a fun program for students familiar with Shakespeare or who just want to learn more.  Prepare to act a little silly!

Dakota County Libraries will also be starting a teen advisory group, or TAG, at the Pleasant Hill Library this fall.  The TAG will be a group of teens who make recommendations on programs and purchases for the library.  TAG members will get opportunities to do volunteer work through-out the year, and contribute to making the library a better place for other teens.  We also occasionally get pre-published books that TAG members can read and review. Anyone interested in getting more information can stop by the Pleasant Hill Library or contact Gladys Kim @ 651-480-1210. The Pleasant Hill Library is located at 1490 South Frontage Road, Hastings.  651-438-0200.
