Take part in the "Building a Winning Team" marketing and management program designed for young farm couples to improve marketing and management skills to ensure continued farm profitability. The program will start with an introductory session December 11-12 at the Hilton Airport Hotel in Bloomington. Following this session, there will be a series of online webinars for participants. The program will conclude March 19-20, 2011 with a wrap-up session.
The "Building a Winning Team" program will provide an introduction to commodity marketing and marketing planning, understand how to manage cost of production, strengthen communication with family members and improve relationships with agricultural businesses, a vital component of farm business.
The featured presenter will be Bret Oelke, regional extension educator for the University of Minnesota (U of M) Extension in the area of agricultural business. Oelke has presented on marketing and management for state and national farm organizations, commodity groups, farm credit associations and other agricultural businesses across the United States.
Registration is $300 per couple for Farm Bureau members and includes hotel, materials and meals; and $375 for non-members and includes hotel, material, meals and a Farm Bureau membership.
