Students and faculty at St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Vermillion celebrated a successful all-school marathon in October as part of the MN Non-Public School Marathon fundraiser event. An all-time record of $28,664.25 was raised by the school of 137 students, beating a goal of $26,000. The 70 students who achieved their fundraising goal ($150 for preschoolers, $250 for grades K-5) were awarded religious statues. Top fundraising students were Alex Beskau (1st place), and Christian and Abby Strommen (tied for 2nd place). Students will celebrate with an all-school party soon.
