| Hampton citizens ask council to look at clerk positions by Ken Haggerty The Hampton city council discussed the positions of city clerk and assistant clerk at its November 9 meeting in response to a citizen petition. Warren Wille, 23683 Belle Court, had prepared, circulated and presented a petition questioning the need for two clerks for the city of Hampton. Wille noted that the clerks worked 196 hours in August and that new building permits in Hampton have slowed to nothing. He asked that the council look into the situation.
