The combination of turkeys and bingo proved to be a rousing success recently as the Farmington Knights of Columbus Council 2400 was able to raise $1,200 for the Farmington Food Shelf to go along with a donation of 50 turkeys with proceeds made from its annual Turkey Bingo event.
The event held Saturday, November 20, at the Church of St. Michael in Farmington, Minn., featured a Sloppy Joe dinner, refreshments and snacks. The Knights also recognized Econo Foods in Farmington for accommodating the organization’s expenses while preparing for the event.
