Tom Stephes, Eagle Ridge Jr. High, Receives Youth in Employment Services Award

Tom Stephes received an Excellence in Youth Employment Services Award at the Dakota-Scott Workforce Investment Board’s (WIB) annual legislative and awards event held Dec. 17 at the Burnsville Performing Arts Center.

The Award is presented to an organization, program, employer or an individual who has demonstrated a commitment to and effectiveness in preparing young people ages 14-21 to enter the workforce.

Stephes is Operations Supervisor of Independent School District 191, located at the Eagle Ridge Junior High School in Savage.
Ann Glaves, St. Francis Regional Medical Center, sponsor of the award said, “Bob has been instrumental in many youth’s lives in the more than 20 years he has supervised students in Summer Youth Programs. His efforts include working with youth with special needs. He also gives his personal time and professional skills to assist young people.”
