LeDuc Book Group Meets February 3
The LeDuc book group will hold their February meeting on Thursday, February 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the LeDuc Historic Estate. The group will discuss the book Girl in Hyacinth Blue, by Susan Vreeland. The LeDuc Historic Estate hosts such a group every first Thursday of the month with a book group that is a partnership between the Dakota County Historical Society and Dakota County’s Pleasant Hill Library. The LeDuc Book Group has been meeting for the past several years in the very library that General LeDuc met to discuss literature with his contemporaries. New members are always welcome. The historic home is located at 1629 Vermillion Street in Hastings.

This book group is lead by Pleasant Hill Library Branch Manager Allan Cotter. People may check out the current month’s selection at the Pleasant Hill Library. Future selections include: Common Sense, by Thomas Paine (March Selection); and The Professor and the Madman: a tale of murder, insanity and the making of the Oxford English Dictionary, by Simon Winchester. For a complete list of books selected to discuss throughout the year, check at the front desk.
