Interstate 35E in St. Paul closes Sept. 23 - Sept. 26

Motorists will encounter delays and a detour on Interstate 35E in St. Paul as both directions of the road close between I-94 and Shepard Road at 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23

During the closure, traffic will follow a signed detour:

·         Northbound I-35E: Eastbound I-494 to northbound Highway 61 to westbound I-94 

·         Southbound I-35E: Eastbound I-94 to southbound Highway 52 (Lafayette Bridge) to westbound I-494       

All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26

This closure is necessary as construction crews continue working on the I-35E bridges.
