The nonprofit conservation group Twin Cities Trout Unlimited is inviting the public to the group's first annual Fall Festival Fundraiser (FFF) at Eagan Community Center, 1501 Central Parkway in Eagan, Friday, October 14 from 6-9 p.m.
The fun event includes buffet, cash bar, games, door prizes, silent auction, and a program by fishing guide Matt Doth on how to catch trophy trout up to 30 inches long in the Vermillion River in Dakota County.
All members of the chapter are volunteers, and proceeds support their local work, including:
Restoring more miles of the Vermillion River, in Lakeville, Farmington, Empire, and Vermillion Township. The group has restored more than three miles so far, and will hold a community volunteer work day October 29 east of Farmington, with free lunch for volunteers. Supporting water science education in local schools, including the School of Environmental Studies in Apple Valley and Lakeville South High School, with the support of the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund, and the VRWJPO.
