An open house to provide an update on the Pleasant Hill Library improvement project is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 9 from 5-7 p.m. at the library in Hastings.
Dakota County staff and architects from Leo A Daly will be on hand to discuss the project and remodeling concepts. A summary of comments will be posted on the Pleasant Hill project page for community members who are unable to attend.
Dakota County is beginning the process of renovating the library, which opened in 1994 and has not yet been renovated. The first step is to conduct a comprehensive needs assessment to collect information about the current facility and identify improvements. The study will result in a space plan, schematic design for improvements, and an estimated budget. This information will then be presented to the Board of Commissioners for consideration as a future Capital Improvement Program project.
