Real estate taxes due Oct. 15
Property taxes on Dakota County real estate for the second half of 2010 are due Friday, Oct. 15. Payments sent by mail must be postmarked by midnight Oct. 15.
According to state law, the County will assess a penalty for late payments. The penalty depends on the tax amount, property classification and when the payment is made. Penalties are listed on the back of property tax statements sent to residents earlier this year.
Tax payments may be made at the following locations. The office hours are:
Property Taxation & Records Office-Administration Building, Hastings
8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday
Service Desk-Western Service Center, Apple Valley
8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
8 a.m.-6 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays
Service Desk-Northern Service Center, West St. Paul
8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
8 a.m.-6 p.m., Wednesdays
