Kickstart your healthy lifestyle on Sat., Jan. 22, 10:30 a.m.-noon, at the Dakota County Farmington Library. Chef John Michael Lerma will present "Lighten Up Family Recipes." The cooking demo will feature recipes for chocolate truffle cheesecake and cheesy potatoes.Chef Lerma, who lost more than 70 pounds by simply lightening up his family recipes, invites you to bring one of your own family recipes to share. Lerma can be seen on Food Network specials and is a regular on KSTP's Twin Cities Live, FOX 9 Morning News and KARE 11. Recipient of a Food Network Medal and many other awards for his cooking, Chef Lerma enjoys taking individuals on a journey to discover their hidden talent as cooks.
This free event is part of Dakota County Library's Winter 2011 Minnesota Mosaic(r) Cultural Arts in Minnesota. This project is funded with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
