Draft available for review at three upcoming events
The public has three upcoming opportunities to review Dakota County's draft Comprehensive Plan, which will set a 20-year vision for the County's roads, environmental resources and parks.
Dakota County is projected to add 100,000 new residents and 55,000 new jobs by 2040. The Comprehensive Plan details how the County will accommodate growth and maintain a high quality of life for all residents.
Visit the upcoming events to review Comprehensive Plan highlights and to talk with County representatives working on the project during the following times:
· Burnsville International Festival: Saturday, July 21, 3–7 p.m. Nicollet Commons Park, 100 Civic Center Parkway, Burnsville
· Dakota County Library – Robert Trail: Wednesday, Aug. 1, 3–6 p.m. 14395 S. Robert Trail, Rosemount
· Dakota County Fair: Wednesday, Aug. 8, 3–6 p.m. Fairgrounds Natural Resources Building, 4008 220th St. W., Farmington
The draft plan is available for public comment until Oct. 1 at www.dakotacounty.us, search Comprehensive Plan. Reserve copies are at the information desk of each Dakota County Library location, except Galaxie Library due to its renovation.
