On Monday the 18th from 3 to 4:30, we will have a Peeps Diorama contest at the library for teens 12 to 18. All supplies will be provided and teens just need to show up with their creativity to create dioramas of favorite movies or books. There will be prizes for local winners and a county wide contest.On Saturday the 23rd from 3 to 5 the Hastings Paranormal Team will back with more exciting stories of their experiences in the paranormal and to answer your questions. Teens and their family are welcome at this event.Monday the 25th from 3:30 to 5:30 a professional make-up artist will be on hand to help you become the zombie of your dreams! Teens 12 to 18 are welcome and all supplies are provided. Just come and get your zombie on!If you are interested in getting some volunteer hours in or just want to help make the library a better place, we are looking for teens to join our teen advisory group. The next meeting is Tuesday October 26 3:30 to 4:30, please feel free to check it out and decide whether to join or not.
To get teens into the Halloween spirit we have some fun programs at the Robert Trail Library the last weeks of October. Starting next Thursday the 21st from 2 to 3 we will have a Halloween Peeps Diorama contest. All the supplies will be provided and teens just need to bring their creativity and come make dioramas of favorite books or movies. There will be local prizes as well as county wide prizes. Schools out for MEA so teens should come to the library for some sugary peep fun!
Thursday the 28th a professional make-up artist will be on hand to help teens bring out their inner zombie! The program is after school, 3:30 to 5:30. All supplies are provided, bring your own brains, etc… and prepare to be zombie-riffic!
Finally, on the Saturday before Halloween, the 30th, the Hastings Paranormal Team will be sharing their paranormal experiences and answering your questions. Teens and their families are welcome. The program is from 2 to 4, come early to get a good seat.
